Lyle woman injured in one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Wednesday morning
A Lyle woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Wednesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2010 Ford F150 pickup being driven by 44-year old Shannon Louise Kempe of Lyle was traveling northbound on Highway 218 at approximately 7:16 a.m. Wednesday morning when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert at 22nd Ave. SE in Austin Township.
Kempe sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment. The State Patrol noted that Kempe was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, the Austin Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Wednesday morning.
