Mankato woman injured in one-vehicle accident on I-35 in Freeborn County Thursday morning
A Mankato woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 in Freeborn County Thursday morning.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:18 a.m. Thursday morning at mile marker 11 on Interstate 35. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that 26-year old Taylor Elizabeth Lawson, of Mankato, was driving north when she lost control and struck the guardrail. Lawson was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Two passengers in Lawson’s vehicle, 1-year old Luca Zayne Bustillos of Pemberton and 42-year old Miguel Bustillos were both uninjured.
The State Patrol reported that Lawson and Miguel Bustillos were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, while Luca Bustillos was wearing his. The Albert Lea Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
