MDH records 38 additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Wednesday for cumulative totla of 11,676

Mower County logged 11,185 confirmed and 491 probable COVID-19 cases Wednesday for a cumulative  total of 11,676 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 38 from Tuesday, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials reported that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,410,583, and over 1,338,000 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 39,451 cumulative cases Wednesday, up 160 from Tuesday, Steele County reported 10,184 cumulative cases Wednesday, a rise of 42 from Tuesday and Freeborn County confirmed 8,865 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, up 36 from Tuesday.  Dodge County now has 5,552 cumulative cases, up 25 from Tuesday and Fillmore County recorded 4,621 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, a rise of 24 from Tuesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 4,050 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 1,352,632, and they added that 26 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Tuesday to Wednesday for a cumulative total of 12,019 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 60,133 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 11,142 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
