MDH records four additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Friday for cumulative total of 11,845

Mower County logged 11,335 confirmed and 510 probable COVID-19 cases Friday for a cumulative total of 11,845 since the onset of the pandemic, up four from Thursday, according to statistics released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections in the state for the duration of the pandemic, now stands at 1,433,225, and over 1,416,800 Minnesotans have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 41,058 cumulative cases Friday, a rise of 48 from Thursday, Steele County reported 10,348 cumulative cases Friday, up eight from Thursday and Freeborn County compiled 9,077 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, up three from Thursday.  Dodge County now has 5,674 cumulative cases, also up three from Friday and Fillmore County recorded 4,780 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, a rise of six from Thursday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 612 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Friday for a cumulative total of 1,369,891, and they added that six additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Thursday to Friday for a cumulative total of 12,440 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 61,763 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 11,420 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
