MDH records seven additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,442
Mower County logged 4,323 confirmed and 119 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,442 since the onset of the pandemic, up seven from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials stated that 39,741 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and nearly 511,000 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County reported 12,512 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, a rise of 23 from Wednesday, Steele County now has 3,434 cumulative cases, up 18 from Wednesday and Freeborn County recorded 3,160 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, a rise of 19 from Wednesday. Dodge County logged 1,671 cumulative cases Thursday, up five from Wednesday and Fillmore County reported 1,499 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 2,535 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 535,182, since the start of the pandemic, and they added that Minnesota’s death toll from the coronavirus rose by 14 Thursday to 6,922 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 27,986 COVID-19 patients in MInnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 5,732 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
