MDH records three additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,773

Mower County tallied 4,639 confirmed and 134 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,773 since the onset of the pandemic, up three from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 43,165 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 599,300 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,495 cumulative cases Thursday, a rise of seven from Wednesday, Steele County reported 4,005 cumulative cases Thursday, up one from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,501 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday.  Dodge County tallied 1,888 cumulative cases Thursday, up two from Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,589 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, which was unchanged from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 340 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 609,016, and they added that four additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,648 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 33,056 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,685 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
