MDH reports 11 additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,614

Mower County logged 4,489 confirmed and 125 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,614 since the onset of the pandemic, up 11 from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 41,759 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 563,300 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 13,121 cumulative cases Thursday, a rise of 24 from Wednesday, Steele County recorded 3,820 cumulative cases Thursday, up 12 from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,399 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up four from Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 1,819 cumulative cases, up six from Wednesday and Fillmore County reported 1,541 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,661 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total  of 584,227, and they added that 13 additional COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Minnesota from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,204 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 30,783 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,264 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
