MDH reports 43rd COVID-19 related death in Mower County Tuesday; 53 additional cases for cumulative total of 6,752

The Minnesota Department of Health reported Tuesday that Mower County has recorded its 43rd COVID-19 related death in an individual 35-39 years of age, and they added that the county recorded 6,533 confirmed and 219 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 6,752 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 53 from Monday.  Health officials stated that over 796,600 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 19,070 cumulative cases Tuesday, a spike of 229 from Monday, Steele County recorded 6,086 cumulative cases Tuesday, up 48 from Monday and Freeborn County confirmed 5,063 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a rise of 37 from Monday.  Dodge County now has 2,863 cumulative cases, up 33 from Monday and Fillmore County reported 2,618 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up 37 from Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 7,043 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 805,015, and they added that 24 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 8,718 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 41,481 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 8,387 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
