MDH reports three additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,532

Mower County logged 4,409 confirmed and 123 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,532 since the onset of the pandemic, up three from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 40,758 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 538,400 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 12,844 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, a rise of 16 from Wednesday, Steele County reported 3,675 cumulative cases Thursday, up 14 from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,303 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up seven from Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 1,733 cumulative cases, up seven from Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,523 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up one from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,973 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 562,440, and they added  that Minnesota’s death toll from the coronavirus rose by 10 Thursday to 7,054 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 29,477 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required  hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 6,006 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
