MDH reports two additional COVID-19 cases in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 4,513

Mower County logged 4,392 confirmed and 121 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 4,513 since the onset of the pandemic, up two from Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 40,523 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and 532,500 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 12,780 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 19 from Sunday.  Steele County recorded 3,641 cumulative cases Monday, up one from Sunday, Freeborn County confirmed 3,285 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up four from Sunday, Dodge County now has 1,720 cumulative cases, up one from Sunday and Fillmore County reported 1,517 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, which was unchanged from Sunday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,292 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 557,665, and they added that Minnesota’s death toll from the coronavirus rose by six Monday to 7,026 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 29,016 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 5,922 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
