Minnesota trooper pulls over doctor for speeding, hands her medical masks instead of a ticket
A doctor from Massachusetts was recently pulled over for speeding on Interstate 35 in south-central Minnesota.
When State Trooper Brian J. Schwartz realized the woman he’d pulled over was a cardiologist who worked in Minnesota every month, he let her go with a firm warning, and gave her a handful of N95 medical masks.
The masks had been provided for his own protection.
“I burst into tears,” Dr. Sarosh Ashraf Janjua said in a Facebook post, which has since gone viral. “And though it may just have been the cold wind, I think he teared up a little as well, before wishing me well and walking away.”
“This complete stranger, who owed me nothing and is more on the front lines than I am, shared his precious masks with me, without my even asking… We are going to be ok.”
