Minnesota’s favorite dessert is… Jell-O?

An insurance company recently analyzed Google search data to determine the most popular dessert in every U.S. state.

(We’re not really sure why, but they did…)

Ice cream was #1 in 5 states, more than any other dessert.

What ‘took the cake’ here in Minnesota? Well, not cake.

Jell-O was the most popular dessert in Minnesota, according to the study (along with Idaho, New Hampshire, and South Carolina).

In Iowa, Texas Sheet Cake took the top spot.

Other popular favorites in various states were brownies, carrot cake, and and funnel cake.

Baked Alaska was the most searched desert in (yup) Alaska.
