Miranda Lambert’s surprising decision to leave Sony

Miranda Lambert and her record label Sony have ended their relationship after 20 years.

Billy Dukes and Adison Haager of Taste of Country discussed the possible reasons for the split, such as Lambert wanting a better share of profits and the option to own her back catalog.

While the move could be risky, it’s not unheard of, as artists like Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood have all switched labels successfully in the past.

Fans can look forward to Lambert’s continued musical career, as well as a list of her 20 greatest songs which includes No. 1 hits, misfires and deep cuts.
