Mower County logs 4,707 cumulative COVID-19 cases for fourth straight day Tuesday
For a fourth straight day Tuesday, Mower County logged 4,577 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases for a cumulative total of 4,707 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials stated that 42,820 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, a rise of two from Monday and over 595,100 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County reported 13,388 cumulative cases Tuesday, up one from Monday, Steele County recorded 3,976 cumulative cases Tuesday, up two from Monday and Freeborn County now has 3,469 cumulative COVID-19 cases, which was unchanged from Monday. Dodge County confirmed 1,877 cases Tuesday, which was unchanged for the second straight day and Fillmore County reported 1,574 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, which was also unchanged for the second straight day.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 95 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 603,966, and they added that one additional COVID-19 death was reported in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,518 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 32,423 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, up three from Monday and 6,573 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units, which was unchanged from Monday.
