Mower County logs 4,713 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a second straight day Tuesday

Mower County logged 4,582 confirmed and 131 probable COVID-19 cases for a second straight day Tuesday for a cumulative total of 4,713 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,916 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 596,900 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,421 cumulative cases Tuesday, up one from Monday, Steele County reported 3,983 cumulative cases for a third straight day Tuesday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,475 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up one from Monday.  Dodge County now has 1,877 cumulative cases, which was also unchanged for a third straight day Tuesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,576 cumulative COVID-19 cases for a ninth straight day Tuesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 79 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 605,297, and they added that no additional COVID-19 tests were recorded in the state from Monday to Tuesday to keep the cumulative total at 7,587 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,642 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, which was up three from Monday and 6,623 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units, which was unchanged from Monday.
