Mower County records 34th COVID-19 death, 12 additional cases Tuesday for cumulative total of 4,803

Mower County recently logged its 34th COVID-19 related death, and the county also reported 4,667 confirmed and 136 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 4,803 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 12 from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 43,458 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 602,800 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,678 cumulative cases Tuesday, a jump of 73 from Monday, Steele County now has 4,032 cumulative COVID-19 cases, up 10 from Monday and Freeborn County reported 3,562 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a rise of 18 from Monday.  Dodge County confirmed 1,938 cumulative cases Tuesday, up 14 from Monday and Fillmore County recorded 1,623 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a rise of 17 from Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,667 positive COVID-19 tests Tuesday for a cumulative total oThe f 614,990, and they added that four additional COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,678 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 33,392 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,750 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
