Mower County remains at 4,706 cumulative COVID-19 cases for third straight day Tuesday
Mower County logged 4,576 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases for a third straight day Tuesday for a cumulative total of 4,706 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials stated that 42,761 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, which was up four from Monday and over 593,800 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County recorded 13,376 cumulative cases Tuesday, up three from Monday, Steele County reported 3,973 cumulative cases Tuesday, up two from Monday and Freeborn County now has 3,461 cumulative COVID-19 cases, which was unchanged from Monday. Dodge County confirmed 1,874 cumulative cases for the third straight day Tuesday and Fillmore County remained at 1,572 cumulative COVID-19 cases for an eighth straight day Tuesday.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 125 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 603,005, and they added that there were two additional COVID-19 related deaths in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,469 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 32,256 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,549 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
