Mower County Sheriff’s Office investigating burglary of home and outbuilding on property near Grand Meadow

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a report of a home and outbuilding burglary on a property near Grand Meadow.

A deputy responded Monday to a property at 27561 730th Avenue near Grand Meadow on a report of a home and outbuilding burglary.  Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the property owner, who stated that his residence and an outbuilding on his property had been burglarized while he was home, sometime between 11:00 p.m. on the evening of July 25th and 7:00 a.m. on the morning of July 26th.  He went on to state that just over $200 in cash, credit cards and his driver’s license in a money clip had been stolen from his office, and a chainsaw, valued at approximately $275 and a pole saw, valued at about $688 were missing from an outbuilding on his property.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Mark May stated that no forced entry was discovered, and he added that if anyone has any information concerning the thefts, they are asked to please call the Mower County Sheriff’s Office at 437-9400.
