MPCA, city of Austin, CRWD annouce new grant to help the region plan for the impacts of climate change

MPCA Commissioner Katrina Kessler along with leaders from the City of Austin and the Cedar River Watershed District announced a new $78,000 grant at Driesner Park in Austin Tuesday morning to help the region plan for the impacts of climate change. The money will be used to better understand how the watershed district can prepare its infrastructure for increased rainfall and other extreme weather.
The Cedar River Watershed District is one of 12 organizations receiving over $870,000 in climate resiliency funding from the MPCA this summer.
