Nine additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County over the weekend for cumulative total of 7,119

Mower County logged 6,888 confirmed and 231 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 7,119 since the onset of the pandemic, up nine from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that total positive cases for the duration of the pandemic, including reinfections, now total 875,917, and over 830,900 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 21,150 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 138 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 6,552 cumulative cases Monday, up 28 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 5,405 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 17 from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 3,383 cumulative cases, up 26 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 2,918 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 21 from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 4,718 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 866,287, and they added that 37 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Saturday through Monday for a cumulative total of 9,192 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 44,380 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 8,865 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
