No new COVID-19 cases in Mower County for a fifth straight day

For a fifth straight day, Thursday, Mower county logged 4,576 confirmed and 130 probable COVId-19 cases for a cumulative total of 4,706 since the onset of the pandemic, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,783 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 594,200 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 13,383 cumulative cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday, Steele County recorded 3,973 cases Thursday, which was unchanged from Wednesday, Freeborn County confirmed 3,463 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up one from Wednesday, Dodge County now has 1,875 cumulative cases, up one from Wednesday and Fillmore County reported 1,573 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up one from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 175 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday For a cumulative total of 603,305, and they added that seven additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,484 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,333 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,563 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
