One additional COVID-19 case recorded in Mower County Friday for cumulative total of 4,707

Mower County logged 4,577 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases Friday for a cumulative total of 4,707 since the onset of the pandemic, up one from Thursday, according to statistics released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,797 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 594,300 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 13,381 cumulative cases Friday, down two from Thursday, Steele County recorded 3,975 cumulative cases Friday, up two from Thursday, Freeborn County confirmed 3,467 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, up four from Thursday, Dodge County now has 1,876 cumulative cases, up one from Thursday and Fillmore County reported 1,573 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, which was unchanged from Thursday.  

The MInnesota Department of Health reported 177 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Friday for a cumulative total of 603,466, and they added that 12 additional COVID-19 related deaths in the state were reported in the state from Thursday to Friday for a cumulative total 7,496 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,361 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,568 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
