Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week, Reana Schmitt of the Austin Packers girls’ basketball team!

Schmitt, a senior forward for the Packers is one of the many reasons the Packers are unbeaten thus far on the season as she recently scored 13 points in a 73-66 double overtime victory over a tough Mankato East squad in Mankato, and she scored 12 of her 18 points in the second half Thursday evening in Farmington against the Tigers as the Packers pulled away in the second half to win 64-53.  Austin heads into the 2022 portion of their schedule as the No. 2 team in the latest State Class AAA poll, and No. 1 in the QRF rankings from the website minnesota-scores.net.
