Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week, Hope Dudycha of the Austin Packers girls’ basketball team!

Dudycha, a senior guard who will play college basketball next year with her sister Emma at the University of Minnesota/Crookston for the Golden Eagles swished six 3-pointers on her way to 22 points in a 67-31 win over the Byron Bears in the Section 1AAA semi-finals at Ove Berven Gym Saturday night to break the all-time scoring record for Austin Packers girls’ basketball, which had been held by Lisa Bue since 2004 at 1,592 points.  The Packers will continue to look to Dudycha to help lead them through the tournament season, which continues Friday night in Rochester against the Stewartville Tigers in the Section 1AAA final.
