Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week, Hunter Vadeer of the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics baseball team!

Vadeer, an 8th grade right fielder has had a strong start to the Section 1A baseball tournament as he went 1 for 2 with a two-RBI double and two runs scored in a 23-0 Lyle/Pacelli win over Houston in the first round  of the tournament on Monday, and in the winner’s bracket quarterfinals against Rushford/Peterson Thursday, Vadeer was 2 for 4 with a two-RBI triple and a two-RBI single to help the Athletics to a 15-0 win in five innings and a date with Southland in the winner’s bracket semi-finals.  Coming into the tournament, Vadeer was hitting .340 in his first year as a starter with 16 hits on the season, including sevendoubles and one triple.
