Scammer Impersonating Deputy Calls Deputy Claiming To Be Himself

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office in Washington is warning people about scam callers!

Well, a specific one at least. This scammer is pretending to be their own Sergeant Darren Moss.

Easy to believe when that person actually exists, only it isn’t him calling. And Sergeant Darren Moss is probably smart enough to know you shouldn’t call the person you’re impersonating.

Imagine his surprise when a “Sergeant Darren Moss” with “The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office” called … Sergeant Darren Moss with The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

They’ve yet to apprehend the fake Moss but are hopeful.
