Seven additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 4,782

Mower County logged 4,647 confirmed and 135 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 4,782 since the onset of the pandemic, up seven from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 43,253 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus,and over 600,400 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,549 cumulative cases Tuesday, a jump of 32 from Monday, Steele County reported 4,014 cumulative cases Tuesday, up six from Monday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,521 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a rise of 10 from Monday.  Dodge County now has 1,902 cumulative COVID-19 cases, up five from Monday and Fillmore County recorded 1,597 cumulative cases Tuesday, up five from Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,032 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 610,839, and they added that three additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,656 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 33,150 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,699 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
