Six additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 4,519
Mower County logged 4,398 confirmed and 121 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 4,519 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of six from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials stated that 40,598 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 534,800 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County recorded 12,793 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up 13 from Monday, Steele County reported 3,647 cumulative cases Tuesday, up six from Monday, Freeborn County confirmed 3,287 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up two from Monday, Dodge County now has 1,720 cumulative cases, which was unchanged from Monday and Fillmore County recorded 1,518 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up one from Monday.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,189 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 558,850, and they added that Minnesota’s death toll from the coronavirus rose by five Tuesday to 7,031 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 29,282 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 5,964 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
