Six additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Wednesday for cumulative total of 4,557

Mower County logged 4,433 confirmed and 124 probable COVID-19 cases Wednesday for a cumulative total of 4,557 since the onset of the pandemic, up six from Tuesday, according to statistics released Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 41,190 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just under 551,000 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 12,962 cumulative cases Wednesday, a rise of 14 from Tuesday, Steele County now has 2,743 cumulative cases, up 19 from Tuesday and Freeborn County reported 3,352 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, up four from Tuesday.  Dodge County confirmed 1,766 cumulative COVID-19 cases Wednesday, up four from Tuesday and Fillmore County recorded 1,529 cumulative cases Wednesday, up one from Tuesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,514 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Wednesday for a cumulative total of 572,025, and they added that 22 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in Minnesota  Wednesday for a cumulative total of 7,113 since the start of the pandemic.  A total of 30,040 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 6,108 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
