A St. Paul man who pleaded guilty to felony drug possession and burglary charges in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident that occurred in Austin on January 18th, 2023 has been sentenced to prison time.

23-year old Tramale Traymond Pitchford was convicted and sentenced Wednesday to 21 months in prison for a felony 3rd degree burglary charge.  Pitchford was given credit for 129 days already served, and he was also convicted and sentenced Wednesday to 17 months in prison for a felony 5th degree drug possession charge.  Pitchford was again given credit for 129 days already served, and Judge Natalie Martinez determined that Pitchford will be allowed to serve the two sentences concurrently.  

Pitchford pleaded guilty to the two charges on August 21st, 2023, and an additional felony 5th degree drug possession charge, misdemeanor charges for fleeing a peace officer by means other than a motor vehicle, and for obstructing the legal process, interfering with a peace officer, plus a petty misdemeanor charge charge for possession of drug paraphernalia in the case against Pitchford were all dismissed with his guilty pleas.

Pitchford initially pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him on February 15th, 2023, and he was also convicted and sentenced Wednesday to 24 months in prison for a felony charge of 3rd degree burglary stemming from an incident that occurred in Austin on January 25th of 2023.  Pitchford was given credit for 127 days already served, and he pleaded guilty to the charge on August 21st, 2023.  Judge Martinez determined that Pitchford will be allowed to serve the sentence concurrently with the two prison sentences from the January 18th incident, and a misdemeanor charge for tampering with a motor vehicle in the case against Pitchford was dismissed with his guilty plea.

Pitchford initially pleaded not guilty to both charges on February 15th, 2023.
