Texas woman injured in one-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County Thursday afternoon
A Texas woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County Thursday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2011 Toyota Sedan being driven by 60-year old Sharon Ann Nygaard of Arlington, Texas was westbound on Interstate 90 at approximately 2:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon when her vehicle left the roadway at mile marker 199 in Pleasant Valley Township.
Nygaard sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. The State Patrol indicated that Nygaard was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, the Dexter Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Thursday afternoon.
