Three people injured in two-vehicle accident in Freeborn County Monday afternoon

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 251 in Freeborn County Monday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2019 Toyota Corolla being driven by 41-year old Jessica Mae Brandenberg of Blooming Prairie was westbound on Highway 251 at approximately 3:35 p.m. Monday afternoon while a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup being driven by 24-year old Rodolfo Lopez of Missouri Valley, Iowa was northbound on County Road 30.  The State Patrol reported that the two vehicles collided at Highway 251 at 850th Avenue.

The two drivers and a passenger in Brandenburg’s vehicle, 45-year old Troy Christopher Low, of Northwood, Iowa suffered what were described as non-life threatening injuries. All three were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

The State Patrol indicated that all parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Hollandale Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Monday afternoon.
