Two additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County over the weekend for cumulative total of 11,770

Mower County logged 11,267 confirmed and 503 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 11,770 since the onset of the pandemic, up two from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,422,344, and over 1,405,000 people in Minnesota have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 40,253 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 39 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 10,255 cumulative cases Monday, up ten from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 9,021 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up two from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 5,632 cumulative cases, up three from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 4,715 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up one from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 530 positive COVID-19 deaths in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 1,360,190, and they added that 16 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Saturday to Monday for a cumulative total of 12,280 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 61,007 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 11,292 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
