Two additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 4,559

Mower County logged 4,435 confirmed and 124 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 4,559 since the onset of the pandemic, up two from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.   Health officials stated that 41,288 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 552,000 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County confirmed 13,001 cumulative cases Thursday, a jump of 39 from Wednesday, Steele County reported 3,754 cumulative cases Thursday, up 11 from Wednesday, Freeborn County recorded 3,357 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up five from Wednesday, Dodge County now has 1,775 cumulative cases, a rise of nine from Wednesday and Fillmore County confirmed 1,530 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up one for the second day in a row.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,921 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 573,938, and they added that 15 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in Minnesota from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,128 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 30,140 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the pandemic started, and 6,127 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
