Two Austin women were injured in a two-vehicle, rollover-type accident on U.S. Highway 52 in Rochester Wednesday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2005 Toyota Camry being driven by 18-year old Aownyowan Mihmad Noase of Austin and a 2006 Ford Focus being driven by 20-year old Korrena Theresa Wyro of Dodge Center were both traveling northbound on Highway 52 at approximately 6:54 p.m. Wednesday evening when the two vehicles collided, rolled and stopped in a ditch at 16th St. SW.

Both Noase and a passenger in her vehicle, 21-year old Amane Ojulu Cham of Austin suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and both were transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment, while Wyro was uninjured.  The State Patrol indicated that all parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Rochester Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance both assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Wednesday evening.
