Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 56 and County Road 19 in Rose Creek early Saturday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2019 Ford Fusion being driven by 23-year old Sydney Marie Bendsten of Rose Creek was northbound on County Road 19, and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country van being driven by 68-year old Craig Thomas Knight of LeRoy was westbound on Highway 56 when the two vehicles collided at the intersection of the two roads at approximately 12:51 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Bendtsen and Knight were both uninjured, but two passengers in Knight’s vehicle, 97-year old Emogene Helen Knight of LeRoy and 76-year old Patsy Ann Newell of Vadinais Heights both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment.
