Two suspects in late Friday evening drive-by shooting in northwest Austin charged in Mower County District Court

Two suspects who were taken into custody by authorities Saturday in connection with a drive-by shooting incident in northwest Austin late Friday evening in which one man was killed, and at least two other people were injured have both been charged in Mower County District Court.


23-year old Manamany Omot Abella of Austin, who was believed to have been a passenger in the suspect vehicle and 28-year old Cham Obang Oman of Austin, who was believed to be the driver of the suspect vehicle were both charged Monday with felonies for 2nd degree murder, with intent, not premeditated, 2nd degree murder, drive-by shooting, two counts of 2nd degree attempted murder, drive-by shooting, and each were also charged with a felony for dangerous weapons, drive-by shooting.
Bail or bond with no conditions for Abella was set Monday at $1 million, with bail or bond with conditions set at $750,000, while bail or bond with no conditions for Oman was set Monday at $1 million, with bail or bond with no conditions set at $500,000. Both men are scheduled to make their next appearances in Mower County District Court during Rule 8 hearings on June 26th.
