Here are the nuts and bolts on the recent alleged copyright infringement lawsuit involving Jake Owen.

Songwriters Alexander Cardinale and Morgan Reid released a song called “Made For You” as part of Cardinale’s 2014 Digital Youth album. The song was also chosen for a major Coca-Cola advertisement in 2016 which ended up being linked to QR codes on millions of Coke bottles for easy listening.

The pair claim Jake Owens song, of the same title, stole lyrics and melody and essentially ripped them off. This is Cardinale and Reid’s song:

The filing states “notes, structure, harmony, vocal style and rhythm are clear indicators” that Owen used their song. What are your thoughts?
