The Austin Packers boys hockey team played host to the Lancers of LaCrescent-Hokah in the second meeting in a week between the two Section 1A teams at Riverside Arena Thursday evening, and Wyatt Farrell, the leading scorer in the state lit the lamp four times for the Lancers in an 8-2 victory.

The Packers were held off the scoreboard until the third period when Gavriel Reyes scored unassisted at 4:43 to make the score 5-1 at that point, and Isaac Anderson tallied with only :18 seconds left in the game to account for the 8-2 final.

Austin was outshot 53-15 for the game, and goaltender Daran Plunkett turned away 45 of the 53 shots he faced for the game, while Lancers netminder Charlie Wieser faced 15 shots and made 13 saves for the win between the pipes.  Both teams were called for two penalties for four minutes, with LaCrescent-Hokah going 1 for 2 with the man advantage, while Austin was 0 for 2.

With the loss, the Packers are now 3-9 on the season, and Austin returns to action in Rochester Saturday afternoon versus the Panthers of Century/John Marshall, with face-off at Graham Arena at 1:45 pm.
