The Austin Packers volleyball team was back at home Thursday night in a Big 9 Conference match with the Mankato West Scarlets, and it was the visitors coming away with a 12-25, 17-25 and 20-25 win.
The Packers were led offensively by Isabella Bolster, who compiled a stat line of four kills, one set assist, three digs and two blocks, Aggie McKichan tallied three kills, three digs and two blocks, Alia Retterath led Austin in set assists Thursday night with eight, plus she also served an ace, and she also put down three kills and came up with 11 digs defensively, Nora Sand contributed two kills, one dig and two blocks, Kathryn Crouch tallied two kills and one set assist, plus she led the squad in digs with 17, Ava Denzer chipped in one kill, one set assist and three digs, Quinn Osgood totaled one kill, one set assist and 12 digs, Haleigh Holman added six set assists and seven digs, and Kristen Neilsen tallied one kill, one set assist, two ace serves and 16 digs.
With the loss, Austin is now 2-4 in the Big 9 Conference, and they are 10-10 overall on the season.  The Packers return to action at Packer Gym Monday evening versus Rochester Lourdes in a non-conference matchup, with the varsity match getting underway at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
