Austin Packers wrestling team falls to Westfield 45-34

The Austin Packers wrestling team was in Hayfield Tuesday night for a non-conference dual with the Westfield Razorbacks, and in a hard-fought dual that came down to the last match, the Razorbacks picked up a pin from heavyweight Wyatt Ahrndt to down the Packers 45-34.

Austin picked up victories from Por Htoo, who scored a pin at 120, Lathan Wilson by forefeit at 132, a 13-3 major decision from Mark Tamke and a 10-5 decision from Sam Skillestad at 160.  The Packers also saw Sam Oelfke score a pin at 170 and Brenan Winkels at 195 and Mason Callahan at 220 both also earned pins for the Packers, who are now off until January 6th when they travel to Rochester Mayo to meet the Spartans in a Big 9 Conference dual, with the action starting at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
