Austin Police searching for armed robbery suspect

The Austin Police Dept. is seeking the community’s assistance in gathering information related to an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store located in the 900 block of 12th St. SW Sunday evening.

The department reported on its Facebook page that the incident occurred at approximately 6:35 pm Sunday evening.  The suspect brandished a black pistol and demanded money from the clerk.  The incident report stated that the suspect gathered an undisclosed amount of cash from the till, and then fled on foot last known to be eastbound in the 900 to 1000 block of 10th Avenue SW.  

The suspect was described as a taller teenage male, possibly between 16 to 18 years of age.  If anyone has any information or tips concerning the robbery, you are urged to please contact Austin Police Investigations at 507-437-9405.
