Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team falls to Kenyon-Wanamingo 73-60 Monday evening
After suffering their first loss of the season Saturday, the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team was back in action in Kenyon Monday evening versus the Knights of Kenyon-Wanamingo in the Gopher Conference, and it was the Knights draining 10 3-pointers to three for the Blossoms in a 73-60 win.
The Knights were able to pull away in the second half for the win Monday evening after leading 39-37 at the half, and scoring-wise for Blooming Prairie, Gabe Hein led the Blossoms with 26 points, Brady Kittleson added 18 points, Cooper Cooke totaled eight points, Zack Hein chipped in six points, and Gabe Staloch tallied two points.
The Blossoms fall to 17-2 overall on the season with the loss, and they are now 9-1 in the conference. Next up for BP will be a game at home versus the Randolph Rockets Friday evening, with the Gopher Conference matchup scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m.
