The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms girls basketball team was looking for win number two in a row Friday night as they played host to a Randolph Rockets team in search of win number three in a row, and it was the Rockets coming out on top, 46-29.

Addison Doocy was the lone Blossom in double figures Friday night with 11 points, Sienna Fyksen tallied seven points, Macy Lembke sccore four points, Claire Schwarz drained BP’s lone 3-pointer in the game for three points, and Catelyn Bartlett and Ella Salinas each scored two points.  Randolph’s Allie Gillette led all scorers with 20 points, including four 3-pointers as the Rockets defense held Blooming Prairie’s offensive attack in check all night, and another factor in Randolph’s win was free-throw shooting, as the Rockets were 15 for 23, compared to BP’s 4 for 7.

The Awesome Blossoms are now 13-7 overall and 7-5 in the Gopher Conference, and Blooming Prairie returns to action Monday evening in Dodge Center versus Triton, with the Gopher Conference matchup scheduled to tip off at 7:15 p.m.
