The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms girls basketball team faced a tough road test Monday night as they traveled to Dodge Center to take on Triton in a Gopher Conference matchup, and although the Blossoms were able to cut a 20-point first half deficit down to two at one point, the Cobras were able to hold off the comeback attempt in a 57-51 win.

Triton led 33-21 at the half, and Sienna Fyksen and Shawntee Snyder led the Blossoms offensively as both scored 20 points apiece, with Fyksen draining two of BP’s three 3- pointers in the game, Macy Lembke added six points, and Claire Schwarz swished a 3 on her way to five points.

With the loss, the Blossoms are now 7-6 in the Gopher Conference and 13-8 overall on the season.  Blooming Prairie will play three out of their last four regular-season games at home, starting with Bethlehem Academy coming into town on Friday night, with the Gopher Conference matchup set to start at 7:15 p.m.
