The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms volleyball team was looking to get back on the winning track Thursday evening as they traveled to New Richland to take on the Panthers of NRHEG, and after downing the Panthers 2-0 at the United South Central Invitational last Saturday, the Blossoms were swept by the Panthers this time around by scores of 25-7, 25-9 and 25-20.

Addison Doocy was the co-leader in kills for the Blossoms Thursday evening with five, and she led the club in blocks with four, plus she added two digs defensively, Brianna Deplitch also tallied five kills, plus she chipped in two digs and one ace serve, Macy Lembke tallied four kills, one set assist, 13 digs and three blocks, Annaka Forsberg totaled three kills, one set assist and three blocks, Ella Smith contributed two kills, two digs, one block and one ace serve,  Layla Lembke led the Blossoms in digs Thursday evening with 18, Claire Schwarz tallied one set assist, seven digs and one ace serve, Madelyn Harvey came up with six digs defensively, Sam Helfing added five, Catelyn Bartlett tallied two digs Thursday night, and Elizabeth Miner tallied one block in the loss.

With the loss, Blooming Prairie is now 0-6 in the Gopher Conference, and 4-14 overall.  The Awesome Blossoms return to action at home next Tuesday evening for their Homecoming match versus Randolph in the Gopher Conference, with the varsity match scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
