Tradition Says You Should Leave Your Tree Up Until This Date

With the holidays now in the rear view mirror, when is the right time to take down the tree? If you follow tradition, it still needs to be on display for a few more days!
Counting from December 25th, the 12 Days Of Christmas continue until January 6th. In Christianity, the date is known as The Feast of Epiphany, The Twelfth Night, or Three Kings Day.
To celebrate the occasion, break out a King Cake, which is also traditionally served on the day. It also marks the start of Mardi Gras.
Pagan traditions consider taking the tree down before the Twelfth Night to be unlucky, so if you haven’t done so already, you might want to wait a little longer.
