Experts predict 31 million Americans will place bets on Sunday’s Super Bowl

Wanna bet?

Plenty of people will be doing just that this weekend, according to estimates released by the American Gaming Association.

According to that industry association, 31.5 million Americans plan to bet on Sunday’s Super Bowl, adding up to over $7.6 billion being wagered when the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals take the field on Sunday afternoon.

Experts attribute the increased betting on this year’s big game to 30 states plus Washington, D.C. now offer legal gambling; including Iowa.

Arizona and Connecticut also legalized sports betting in the past year.

The LA Rams are 4.5 point favorites in the game.

The Super Bowl airs Sunday at 4:30 PM (central) on NBC.
