Grandview Cemetery begins tradition of laying wreaths on various gravesites

The Grandview Cemetery Association has begun its tradition of laying wreaths on various gravesites in the cemetery in Austin, and KAUS News spoke with Association President Clint Hertle, who stated that 500 wreaths will be placed on gravesites in the cemetery this year, and he added the program is a fundraiser for the perpetual care of the cemetery….

Hertle went on to state that the wreaths will remain in place until next spring, when they will be removed and replaced with approximately 400 bunches of flowers, which is also a fundraiser for the perpetual care of the cemetery…

Hertle added that the Grandview Cemetery Association is always on the lookout for volunteers, and if you wish to volunteer to assist in the various aspects of the cemetery’s operation, Hertle stated that the cemetery’s office is open every Monday, and you can also call (507) 437-2120.
