Over the years, we’ve heard many recommendations regarding just how cool our homes should be during the hot and sticky summer months.

Just last month, Consumer Reports released some A/C settings recommendations to help cut down energy usage and cost.

What’s the bottom line?  The coolest you should keep your house is 78 degrees when you’re home and Florida’s Public Service Commission also says to run ceiling fans while the A/C is on.

Where do you keep your house at during the summer? When I saw how high my electricity bill got last month, I adjusted it to 75 when I’m home and usually 78 when I’m away.
